Hilltop Park Slope Stabilization Project
The City is working to reduce erosion, protect waterways, and plant new trees to keep the park healthy and green.
Project Location: Hilltop Park 780 Hilltop Drive
What the project involves:
The City is working to reduce erosion, protect waterways, and plant new trees to keep the park healthy and green. Some aging or unhealthy trees will be removed but will be replaced to support long-term safety and sustainability.
- Installation of turf reinforcement mat protecting the channel from erosion.
- Installation of sod
- Planting trees
- Installation of new irrigation
- Constructing a concrete structure with cobble stones to slow the water and reduce erosion.
Walking Paths and Bridges
Walking path and bridges will remain open in general but occasionally closed for construction activities. Closures are anticipated to last a couple of days at a time. Advance notice of closures will be provided as much as possible.
- Playground: accessible / no impact
- Dog Park: accessible / no impact
- Gazebos: Closed until end of project mid-October 2025
